Sustainable Materials

We use rapidly renewable sustainably sourced materials that are non-toxic throughout their lifecycle for our packaging products. Our products are certified carbon neutral and after use, can be either recycled, commercially and/or home composted.
With so many packaging products made from paper, it’s important to ensure our forests are not irreparably damaged in the creation of paper-based packaging. We we take great care selecting paper suppliers that have proven sustainable practices.
Well-managed forests support environmentally sound forestry, helping to preserve valuable resources for future generations. All our paper products are made from Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) bleached fibre. We do not use elemental chlorine gas during the paper bleaching process and this prevents the formation of dioxins and carcinogens.
Bagasse is more commonly known as Sugarcane pulp, is an abundant and rapidly renewable resource that with a number of features that make it an ideal material for foodservice disposables. It is a by-product of the sugar refining industry, transforming an output that is currently considered waste into a valuable input for another process providing significant environmental benefits.
5 tonnes of wood are needed to produce 1 tonne of pulp for paper, but only 1.5 tonnes of sugarcane pulp are needed to produce the same amount. Sugarcane pulp is sterilised and sanitised and conforms to FDA administration guidelines. Our range of clamshells, takeaway containers, plates, bowls and trays are made from this material.
